POSITION: Presidential Research Director
LOCATION: COVID-19 Remote then based in Washington, DC by January 1, 2022

American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Presidential Research Director to oversee targeted earned media campaigns for its Washington, DC office. This position will be a member of the organization’s senior staff, and will be responsible for interfacing with partners and allies, managing a dedicated research staff, and coordinating with other members of the leadership team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for overseeing the production of research products on a wide array of targets, including members of the House of Representatives and hopefuls for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. 
  • Responsible for managing their team: defining projects, ensuring quality of the work produced by the team, and providing the team with training and feedback they need to develop as researchers.
  • Serve as a member of senior staff and work with the organization's leadership team to establish the strategic direction of research projects and messaging.
  • Help lead American Bridge's War Room rapid response research efforts, working closely with communications staff to identify earned media opportunities and capitalize on them. 
  • Present research to partners; work with partners on an ongoing basis to meet their research needs. 

Requirements: 

  • At least three election cycles of opposition research employment.
  • Previous experience managing staff.

American Bridge 21st Century PAC offers a competitive salary range, starting at $100,000 for this position, and a strong benefits package.
